AWS re:Invent 2019

Client: Amazon Web Services    Location: Las Vegas, NV    Company: Production Club    Role: Designer

Each year in Las Vegas, AWS hosts re:Invent, the world’s largest cloud computing conference, welcoming more than 60,000 attendees across seven hotels on the Las Vegas Strip. The event combines training, certification, workshops, networking, and keynote programming at a massive scale.

A main component of the scope was to design a cohesive attendee experience and improve circulation between The Venetian and the main Expo Hall at Sands Expo. A key feature of the experience was a 400-foot-long, 20-foot-tall curved LED wall that transformed the transition space with immersive visuals and timed environmental animations.

As a Designer on the project, I supported multiple aspects of the event environment, including spatial planning, scenic design, and on-site execution. My contributions included designing the DJ booth, interactive doodle wall, desk layouts, and furniture plans, while also supporting the Creative Lead throughout development and installation.

The final scenic direction, Digital Terrain, blended physical and digital elements to create a futuristic, cohesive environment. Materials such as 3M dichroic film were integrated throughout the space to reflect the event’s visual identity and enhance the attendee experience.
