Hellcrest V: Shipwrecked

Client: Notch     Location: Beverley Hills, CA    Company: Production Club    Role: Spatial Lead

For the fifth annual Hellcrest Halloween experience, Notch transformed his residence into Shipwrecked, an immersive haunted environment built around the legend of a cursed pirate crew searching for a stolen ruby chalice. Guests entered a fully developed narrative world where they were invited to uncover clues, solve mysteries, and help break the curse.

The experience reimagined the property as a colossal ghost ship that had crashed into the estate. The bow of the ship emerged from the front exterior, while interior spaces became the Captain’s quarters, galley, and below-deck brig. Maze-like corridors, atmospheric lighting, scenic effects, and live performers created a cinematic guest journey throughout the home.

As Spatial Lead, I helped shape the overall concept and storyline while leading the environmental design across the property. My role focused on guest flow, immersive world-building, and translating the narrative into physical space. I also contributed to an interactive game experience that sent attendees searching for hidden clues and prizes tied to the Ruby Chalice storyline.

Additional contributions included hands-on prop fabrication and scenic detailing to enhance authenticity throughout the installation. Key zones included the DJ Stage, reimagined with custom scenic elements and a mesh LED media wall, as well as a newly activated pool deck that served as the ship’s stern with bars, lounges, and character interactions.

Hellcrest V blended theatrical storytelling, experiential design, and nightlife energy into a large-scale private event that delivered a memorable and highly interactive Halloween experience.
