Night of Livery

For the grand opening of Heritage Gruppe's San Gabriel location, a car storage warehouse with high ceilings and exposed beams, we wanted to invite attendees inside to see cars under a different light. We partnered up with three artists to create art and motion graphics to project onto cars on display. The result was a dynamic atmosphere at the intersection of art and design.

Porsche 964

BMW E36

Studebaker Avanti

Motion animation on the Porsche 964 was done by artist @kneapolitan, and designer Adrian Zywno created the livery for the BMW E36. This particular Studebaker Avanti had been gifted to Indy 500 winner, Roger Ward, in 1962. As homage, a compilation of videos from that race was used to celebrate that moment in time.

A total of four short-throw projectors were rigged and programmed within the space. The exterior lot featured live DJing by Metasin Music, Pete's Burgers, and ample lounge space, along with curated cars with notable liveries like Martini and Marlboro racing.
